Bihar Region adopts CCBI Pastoral Plan in Jubilee Year

"The Pastoral Plan inspires us to renew our missionary zeal and address the challenges of evangelization in our region. It provides a structured framework to guide us forward."
 – A diocesan bishop.

"The emphasis on synodality resonates deeply with our diocesan needs. The plan encourages collective discernment, which is crucial for fostering unity and inclusion." – A senior religious superior.

"This plan highlights the role of the laity, especially the youth, in the Church's mission. It’s a timely move to engage them actively in evangelization and community service." – A diocesan youth coordinator.

"While the plan is comprehensive, it feels overly general. The unique socio-economic realities of Bihar require a more region-specific approach." – A diocesan administrator.

"The plan’s ambitious goals may be challenging to implement due to limited resources and personnel in our region. We need a more phased and practical roadmap." – A diocesan financial officer.

"There is a risk of the Pastoral Plan becoming overly bureaucratic, potentially diverting our focus from the grassroots-level needs of the faithful." – A rural parish priest.

These mixed voices echoed in the floor at the

Prof. Dr. Yesu Karunanidhi from the CCBI, who guided the bishops through key themes of the CCBI Pastoral Plan Mission 2033. His presentation focused on synodality, preparations for Jubilee 2025, and the importance of embracing the long-term mission framework for the Church’s renewal and growth.
